Content and Comments

You can begin with writing articles as search engines like content rich websites and content keeps your website alive and visible to the people. This is just one option; you can go for a number of others such as looking for blogs in your niche and leaving comments on them. There you can add your URL which will be linked to your name. However, it will then depend on the owner of the blog whether or not he would approve the comment that you have posted.

Email Marketing

Then you can also do email marketing. This is done by collecting email addresses on a website that is usually referred to as a squeeze page. You will have to enter a code which you will get from your auto responder company. Doing this usually involves a great deal of effort and time, but it can be worth it if you are able to make huge lists and eventually make a lot of money.

Social Media

This is a modern traffic source and a lot of people get free traffic from social media websites like Facebook and Twitter. All you have to do is create a fan page on Facebook and start promoting your website there. You can also use social media plugins on your website and encourage your visitors to share your content with their friends and family.

Strategies such as these are highly effective ways of driving traffic to a website. The more traffic you get to your website, the more money you will make from your home.
