Article Marketing and PR – Proven Methods to Bring High Quality Traffic to Your Website

So you are the owner of a business or service which you offer online. What do you do to make it more visible to the masses? You tell them about it! But how long can you keep shouting to the world from the rooftops about the unique services you offer. You need a plan to publicize yourself properly and to truly represent yourself to the world. And that is marketing in a nutshell.

The main purpose of article marketing is to get your business publicized not through advertisements but through useful content. You write articles that can get you traffic from the search engines and the rest will happen by itself. To be able to get the best traffic known as the targeted traffic from all over the world to visit your site, you need to compose articles that are relevant to the services you offer on your website. Only then will the right kind of traffic visit your site. Otherwise, what is the point of having visitors who are not remotely interested in what you offer visiting your site? None. Hence the articles need to be specifically written to interest those who would like to buy your services or products. For example, if the services you offer are selling sports equipment, then it would be a good idea to write an article about the benefits of a particular exercise machine which improves fitness as advertised.

Then people who search for the benefits of buying that exercise machine would come upon your article published in an article directory and they would then be encouraged to click on the link to your website and go on to choose from the variety of exercise machines your site offers. This is how articles help to market your products and services to those who need these services. It is not only effective but most of the time it costs nothing to submit as many articles as you like to these high PR directories. There is no catch here and the traffic is genuine unlike other techniques where the people who visit your site may not be the ideal traffic you may want or need.

Now that we have seen the importance and ease of using article marketing for businesses, let us look at another prominent and potent way of getting the message across, namely the Press Release or PR. Press releases enable a business to let thousands know about what they do in an instant. It is an easy short cut to getting a lot of valuable publicity especially if your organization has something news-worthy to let the world know. There are two kinds of organizations who get releases written. One is the organization which is just beginning to take shape and wants some real publicity to kick-start its operations.

Another is the organization which is already established but wants to get the attention of the press and the people for a special service they offer. No matter which category you belong, it is better to release a PR only if there is something news-worthy to announce, otherwise you may not find good traffic or coverage given by the media. It is also difficult to gain good press coverage when there are other events going on which take the limelight away from your story. Hence, it is important to make sure that the timing of the release is good or your press release might just get drowned out in the midst of other news.

So in short, as can be seen, press releases and article marketing are among the best tried and tested to get your brand more popular than ever before.
